FAQ

  • A handyman contract is a legally binding document between two parties (the handyman and the client), which states that the handyman will provide services to the client in exchange for compensation. The contract discusses important details regarding scope of work and payment.

  • A handyman agreement, also known as a handyman service agreement, usually begins by establishing names and relationships of both parties. From there, it discusses scope of work, change orders, license and permits, insurances, loss, property access, site conditions, project costs, payment schedule, etc. The contract ends with signatures and agreement from both parties.

  • You can use templates for handyman contracts but our recommendation would be to use them as a guide as opposed to a final product. A template will provide a general overview of what the contract should look, but it might be beneficial to have a lawyer’s insights to understand how to structure it for yourself.
